SCVNGR Raises $4 Million from Google Ventures

DreamIt company SCVNGR has raised $4 million from Google Ventures with participation from their original Series A investor, Highland Capital Partners, who invested $750k in the company in August 2009.

 

SCVNGR is already cash flow positive with over $1 million in revenue in its first full year in business. The team has grown to over 20 employees with plans to double to over 40 employees in the coming months.

 

SCVNGR is a platform for location-based games on mobile phones including their flagship game, interactive scavenger hunts.

 

Over 400 clients including universities, museums and cities have used this interactive scavenger, with participants receiving clues on whatever mobile device they use.
